Sketching Berlin

Sketching Berlin

Analysis Through the Designer Lens, led by Professor Daniel Roehr and Douglas Paterson, brought graduate and undergraduate students on a 6-week journey of learning how to represent the "magic" of Berlin, Germany. The course provided the opportunity to explore and analyze the historical and cultural context of Berlin using sketching, diagramming and mapping to see/read, study, and graphically visualize its historic and contemporary urban design and planning, architecture and landscape architecture at the single lot, neighbourhood and city-wide scale. Below are a sampling of drawings from the several sketchbooks I filled throughout the trip.
